New Conference Aims to Develop Consensus on Kidney, Bladder Cancer Management

By Brandon Twyford - Last Updated: August 8, 2024

The inaugural Advanced Urologic Cancer Consensus Conference (AUC3) seeks to reshape the landscape of kidney and bladder cancer management through interdisciplinary dialogue and consensus building.

The new, two-day live event will take place in Miami, Florida, in January 2025, and will bring together key panel members from diverse medical disciplines to engage in lively discussions and debates on diagnostic and management strategies for kidney and bladder cancer. The goal of the conference is to vote on these strategies and, ultimately, draft consensus guidelines that will be published and endorsed by national and international organizations.

In the lead-up to the conference, an international panel of experts will collaborate with the conference directors to formulate the consensus questions. This iterative and collaborative process will ensure that the questions are well-defined and grounded in the latest research. The expert panel will present the available data during the live event, then engage in a debate and a vote on each question to reach a consensus.

This meeting format will facilitate an in-depth knowledge exchange, paving the way for the development of guidelines that will more effectively shape discussions between patients and their physicians, ultimately improving patient outcomes.

“We are excited to partner with AUC3 to create a long overdue platform in the bladder and kidney cancer space that will have a powerful impact on practicing clinicians,” said Joe Palumbo, President and Chief Revenue Officer at Mashup Media, official partner of the AUC3 conference. “Producing innovative events and providing opportunities to stimulate real-world health care outcomes is a trademark of our organization.”

Mashup Media has produced a number of successful oncology-focused events, such as The Uromigos Live & Unplugged, The HemOnc Pulse Live, and Advancements in Oncology: Today’s Data for Tomorrow’s Practice.

Stay tuned for continued updates on this groundbreaking conference.
